Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome back! We hope you had a great summer and are ready for a new school year. We are looking forward to getting to know you and your child. 

This term, we will be exploring a range of new and interesting topics, which you can see in the 'Curriculum Overview' tab, as well as in more detail in our newsletter. Please check the newsletter for important dates this term.

If you have any queries throughout the school year, please don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's class teacher. We are on the playground at the end of each school day and our email addresses are below.

Drop off and pick up 

Children are able to go into the back playground through the large black gates from 8.30. At 8.40, teachers collect classes to take them upstairs. At this time, the black gate is closed and children are able to enter the building through the white door until 8.50. After this, children will need to come in through the main entrance and sign in there.

There will be some changes to how year 5 children leave at the end of the day. Children will still be dismissed at 3.10pm. In order to avoid taking the children across the road, we will be trialling the following: 

5O will be leaving from the reception/office doors.

5MC will be leaving through the double doors to the left of reception. 

5H and 5B will be lined up on the back playground ready for collection. 

Children must point out their adult to their teacher before being able to leave. Children will only be allowed to walk home alone if parents have filled out the relevant form to give permission. After school club collect from the back playground.
